Who Am I
Who Am I
I am a devout christian, and an aspiring husband, father and software engineer. I enjoy playing the piano, sports and board games.
My Interest
Growing up, I have always enjoyed being around computers, I also enjoy pushing the boundaries of what they can do.
In my early years I would enjoy scrolling through the settings app on my phone, and test out what each setting did. That has grown into an interest in learning the inner workings of computers and ultimately, how to program them.
Purpose, Truth and Skill
I like to call these principles the ‘pillars to success’.
Purpose
Having a purpose is my first pillar, without deciding what we want in life, what we want each day, we don’t make any real progress towards anything. Having a purpose can be as simple as deciding that you want to rank up a character on the video game you’re currently into, to being as complex as striving to save up money to buy a house
Truth
I have repeatedly said that if the wings of your airplane are too small, it won’t matter how much you believe they’re big enough, your airplane will not get off the ground.
with that said, Truth is another pillar of success, at times people can ‘persist in ignorance’, trying to pretend that they have been right all along, but until one is ready and willing to acknowledge that they were wrong or made a mistake, there will always be a barrier preventing them from moving forward, or figuratively speaking, they will not be able to get their plane off the ground.
Skill
Having the biggest dreams, or the best aspirations and intentions are great, but until one has the ability to make them a reality, they will remain as dreams and aspirations.
Improving one’s skills is a process, One doesn’t just pick up a basketball, then join the NBA, it takes work and dedication to develop the ability to achieve your dreams.
